Founded in 1980, Apex Microtechnology was acquired in 2007 by Cirrus Logic, a premier supplier of mixed-signal processing components for audio and energy markets. Following a five-year tenure as a division of the Austin, Texas, based developer of complex chip designs, Apex Microtechnology has returned to a stand-alone, privately-held corporation with its sale to a private investor group. The company is headquartered in Tucson, Ariz., USA.
